13/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Ile-de-France and the regional development agency for this French region are holding an event, entitled “Ile-de-France, European Centre for Research and Innovation” at the Committee of the Regions on 26 June. They will present clusters and “poles de compétitivité” in the Ile-de-France and identify how these regional initiatives can be articulated with EU initiatives, such as technology platforms and “networks of excellence” and the “regions of knowledge” action line. Among those taking part will be the European Commission, representatives of regional SMEs, research organisations and technology centres involved in the Region's main clusters.
