Last-ditch agreement by Ministers on European Evidence Warrant, but no agreement on transfer of prisoners

Luxemburg, 01/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - After three years of discussions, Ministers have finally managed to reach agreement on the European Evidence Warrant (co-decision) with two major changes in the text granted to the Netherlands and Germany. Finding a compromise proved very difficult because of the divergent positions, the Austrian Interior Minister Liese Prokop said at a press conference on Thursday.
