Council decision on steering committee at European Institute for Gender Equality - social dimension in sustainable development strategy must be strengthened

Luxembourg, 01/06/2006 (Agence Europe) -On 1 June in Luxembourg EU Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs met up under the Presidency of Ursula Haubner. During the morning they examined issues relating to social protection. Ministers adopted the joint recommendation from the Employment Committee and the Committee on Social Protection on the examination of the strategy on sustainable development, from the point of view of social inclusion.
