Adoption of new rules on prevention of diseases in aquatic animals

Brussels, 02/05/2006 (Agence Europe) -The report by Heinz Kindermann (PES, Germany) was approved on 27 April in Brussels by 561 votes in favour, 15 against, with 5 abstentions. Some amendments were added to the draft directive which aims to update, reshape and consolidate the health rules applicable to the trade in aquaculture products (fish, molluscs and crustaceans).
