Seven Member States fail to comply with obligation to introduce digital tachograph by 1 May, road sector denounces

Brussels, 02/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - Since 1 May, the introduction of the digital tachograph on new vehicles registered on Community territory has been compulsory. If one is to believe the International Road Transport Union (IRU), seven member States - Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus and Malta - have failed to comply.
