24/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - Paolo Bedoni, President of Italian farmer organisation Coldiretti, has been elected Vice-President of COPA (Committee of Agriculture Organisations in the European Union) representing some 15 million people in the agriculture industry, explains a Coldiretti press release, adding that Bedoni will be responsible for food safety and the environment. The press release adds that there have not been any Italian leaders of COPA for nearly a decade.
