24/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Institute for Public Affairs and Lobbying (EIPAL) is holding its 22nd session from 24 April to 13 July. Courses are given in English and French by 50 lecturers originating from a dozen countries. 'Half of the lecturers are civil servants in European Institutions and half are public affairs consultants, university professors and business executives,' explains an EIPAL press release. EIPAL was created in 1994 with the support of the European Commission. The press release continues: 'The courses are largely inspired by the philosophy of the new White Paper on European Communication Policy recently adopted by the European Commission at the initiative of Ms Margot Wallstrom, Vice-President. European Institutions will now pay greater attention to European citizens and their views and so become more interactive. Teachers will outline their concepts of pedagogical responsibilities.
