24/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved the proposed joint takeover of Wingas UK Storage Ltd, United Kingdom, by ZMB GasspeicherHolding GmbH, an Austrian company belonging to Gazprom, and Wingas GmbH, a German company part of the BASF group. Wingas UK Storage Ltd will be responsible for converting the Saltfleetby site in Lincolnshire to a gas storage site. The transaction was examined under the simplified procedure.
