Amending Council common position on trans-European energy networks, Parliament reintroduces declaration of common interest and European coordinator

Strasbourg, 05/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 4 April, with the adoption in second reading of the report by Anne Laperrouze (ALDE, France), the European Parliament amended the Council's common position on the decision establishing guidelines for Trans-European Energy Networks (TEN-E) and repealed Decisions 96/392/EC and 1229/2003/EC in order to adapt TEN-E to the enlarged Union.
