Brussels, 05/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - Following Austria, Germany , Belgium and Italy, Denmark has decided to maintain for a period of three years the restrictions on the free movement of workers from Eastern Europe which were imposed after the last enlargement of the EU. The Danish parliament on Wednesday arrived at a compromise, specifying that the labour market would become increasingly flexible and more open and that the quotas will be taken away. EUROPE will return to this.
