Germany confirms restrictions on free movement of workers from East European countries

Brussels, 23/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The German Minister for Work, Franz Münterfering, confirmed his intention of keeping restrictions on workers from Central and Eastern Europe accessing Germany's labour market for a further three years - until 30 April 2009 (see EUROPE 9157 for view of André Brie MEP and EUROPE 9147).
