Strasbourg, 14/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European shoe industry is a sector made up of a large number of small companies (more than 11,000 in 2005), often concentrated in regions where they are the largest employers: in 2005, they produced 700 million shoes, one tenth of the world's production.
