Agreement on European order for payment procedure - No real progress on European evidence warrant

Brussels, 22/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - As expected (EUROPE 9134), the twenty-five Ministers for Justice and the Interior (minus Denmark) on Tuesday approved by qualified majority the draft regulation creating a European order for payment procedure (codecision, first reading) thereby opening up the way towards the use of a mechanism facilitating the recovery of undisputed civil and commercial pecuniary claims in cross-border cases. “Citizens will have an instrument which allows them to...
