Jacques Barrot wants Member States to do more to improve road safety

Brussels, 22/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - As expected, on Wednesday the European Commission unveiled its mid-tern review of road safety in the European Union (see EUROPE 9135), outlining considerable progress but more work is still required to meet the target the EU has set itself, of halving the number of people killed in road accidents in the EU by 2010.
