GENERAL NEWS / (eu) temporary work

Swiss company ADECCO (EUR 13.4 bn turnover between January and September 2005), the world's largest provider of temporary workers has offered EUR 636 million (EUR 54.50 per share) for its German competitor DIS (2005 turnover EUR 305 mil), which would make it the second biggest temporary work agency in Germany. It has already agreed to buy the 29% stake held by the Paulmann family.
