Luxembourg taken to Court of Justice over referred to Court of Justice over registration certificates

Brussels, 20/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - After sending Luxembourg a reasoned opinion on 7 July 2005 (see Europe 8988), the European Commission decided on 14 December to refer Luxembourg to the Court of Justice for failure to transpose European legislation on the introduction of a harmonised registration certificate (Directive 1999/37/EC) into national law by the deadline of 1 June 2004.
