EUR 290 million in fines for sixteen plastic bag manufacturers

Brussels, 30/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has imposed over EUR 290 million in fines to 16 companies for having implemented an illegal agreement on the market of industrial plastic bags, a market estimated at EUR 265 million in 2001 in the countries concerned (Germany, Benelux, France and Spain.
