Heads of 5 political parties say European project brought peace to Europe

Brussels, 14/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 11 November, anniversary of Armistice Day and the end of the First World War, five EP political groups (EPP-ED, PES, ALDE, Greens/EFA and UEN) issued a joint statement, and the European Parliament website commented: 'It is now 87 years since the guns of the Great War fell silent.
