René van der Linden says that Turkey's European aspirations must not be disappointed

Brussels, 10/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - Addressing the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in Ankara on 9 November, the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe said that "the European aspirations of the Turkish people must not be disappointed". "Turkey needs and deserves the prospect of full participation in the EU, just as much as the EU needs and deserves Turkey", said René van der Linden, who considers that a co-ordinated strategic plan for dialogue between the EU...
