10/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) issued a press release calling on the EU to 'strengthen the fight against discrimination and provide social inclusion. Racism, discrimination, poverty and exclusion are inextricably linked.' ENAR says that recent events in Birmingham (UK) and in the run-down suburbs of Paris and other French cities 'have focussed attention on a reality that exists in many European societies.'
