Further changes to EU's list

Brussels, 21/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - The 2002 regulation bringing in restrictive measures of the EU against certain people and entities linked to Osama Bin Laden, the Al Qaeda network and the Taliban has been modified in line with the changes (in virtue of a Commission regulation 14 October) to the list of persons, groups and entities to which the freezing of funds and economic resources applies. On the list of "physical persons", the reference to "Hani El Sayyed Elsebai Yusef" has been replaced by the following data: "Hani Al-Sayyid Al-Sebai" and "El Sayed Ahmad Fahti Hussein Elaiwa" has been changed to "Al Sayyid Ahmed Fahti Hussein Eliwah". (Regulation 1690/2005 on the fight against terrorism is published in the Official Journal (OJ) L271 of 15 October 2005, and entered into force on the same day).
