Commission proposes to include aviation in Community emissions trading system - NGOs plead in favour of this option

Brussels, 26/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On 27 September, the European Commission is to propose to include the aviation sector in the Community system for trading in quotas of greenhouse gas emissions. Its communication, entitled "Reducing the Climate Change Impacts of Aviation", is to be presented in Strasbourg on Tuesday.
