Commission suggests new round of negotiations with New Zealand

Brussels, 12/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - After suggesting negotiations with Chile, Australia and India last Monday (see Europe 9020), the European Commission suggested on 12 September negotiating with New Zealand over air transport issues. In June 2005, the European Commission initialled a 'horizontal' agreement to enable all EU airlines to benefit from aviation agreements signed by certain Member States with New Zealand by introducing an 'EU clause' (see Europe 8977).
