12/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The 3rd European Congress of Chemical Regions will take place on 6 October in Milan, and will be attended by the president of the Region of Lombardy, Roberto Formigoni, and the Minister for Economy and Labour of Saxony-Anhalt, Horst Rehberger, President of the European Chemical Regions Network (ECRN). A press release specifies that the discussion on this occasion will cover the contribution made by the chemicals industry to sustainable development, the prospects of the REACH proposal on chemical products, research and innovation in these regions, and the future of Structural Funds. The regions concerned include: Lombardy and Piemonte in Italy; Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony and Rhineland North Westphalia in Germany; Asturias and Catalonia in Spain; and North East and North West England.
