Charlie McCreevy and Neelie Kroes warn against any attempts at creating protectionism in Europe

Brussels, 05/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - During their addresses to the economic Forum in Cernobbio on Saturday 3 September, Charlie McCreevy, European Commission in charge of the Internal Market, and Neelie Kroes, Commissioner in charge of Competition, criticised the attitude of two Member States, Italy and France , which they accuse of defending certain sectors of national activity against any takeover attempts on the part of foreign companies.
