Brussels, 31/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - After meeting the new Bulgarian prime minister Sergei Stanichev in Brussels on 29 August, the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, told reporters that effective application of the reforms pledged by Sofia was vital.
