Brussels, 05/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is making EUR 4 million available for humanitarian aid to support the protection activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in certain countries of Africa and Asia. The funding, which comes from the budget of the Commission's humanitarian aid service, ECHO, will be used for the protection of conflict victims in the Congo, Rwanda, Azerbaijan, the Philippines and Pakistan.
