Commission to recover EUR 113.7 mil in 'unduly received' farm aid from seven Member States

Brussels, 25/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 25 July, the European Commission decided that a total of € 113.7 million of EU farm money unduly spent by Member States is to be claimed back from seven Member States (Belgium, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and the UK). The money will be recovered because of inadequate control procedures or non-compliance with EU rules on agricultural expenditure.
