01/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Member States of the European Union are all supposed to have introduced into their legislation from 1 July a compensation system for victims of serious crime committed on their territory, the European Commission has indicated, albeit acknowledging that it does not yet know if the Member States have carried out this obligation.
