19/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of World Asthma Day on 3 May, the European Federation of Asthma and Allergy Associations (EFA) published a study on asthma, a condition which affects 30 million people in Europe and kills 180,000 people throughout the world every year. The cost of asthma has been put as 17.7 billion EUR a year in Europe. The study describes patient suffering and the social consequences of the disease (www.efanet.org).
