EU human rights policy with regard to rest of the world: European Parliament's demands

On 28 April in Brussels, the European Parliament adopted the report by Simon Coveney (EPP-ED, Ireland) on human rights in the world in 2004 and the European Union's policy in this area. The report examines the situation in around 70 countries (EUROPE 8937 and 8939). We are publishing the whole text in EUROPE/DOCUMENTS, which also lists a series of thematic priorities and demands from the European institutions.
