Brussels, 29/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - After a visit to Pretoria on 29 April, the High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, is taking part - on 30April, in Democratic Republic of Congo, alongside Development Commissioner Louis Michel - in the launching of the European police mission, EUPOL-Kinshasa. On this occasion, a press release states, Javier Solana is also to announce the next advisory mission for reform of the security sector, EUSEC RD CONGO. EUPOL and EUSEC come in the wake of the Artemis operation successfully launched in Ituri in 2003, a press release states, noting that these two new missions illustrate the European Union's determination to contribute to the stability of the Democratic Republic of Congo, on which the stability of the Great Lake Regions as a whole depends.
