EIB lends EUR 20 million for environmental improvements in St Petersburg, russia

Luxembourg, 26/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB), in line with the Baltic Sea environmental objectives of its first lending mandate for Russia is lending a total amount of EUR 100 million. EUR 20 million will be lent to the St Petersburg water company Vodokanal for the rehabilitation and modernisation of the city's Northern Wastewater Treatment Plant.
