European People's Party asks Commission Louis Michel for explanations

Brussels, 14/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European People's Party (EPP) has asked European Commissioner for Development Louis Michel to explain to the European Council what results he obtained from his meeting with Fidel Castro on 25 March in Cuba (EUROPE 8916). The EPP affirms that this will be important to see whether Cuba is going use the period of EU sanctions being suspended to push forward reforms and improve human rights.
