Brussels, 05/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - Former MEP Fernand Herman has died at the age of 73. From 1979 until 1999 he was a very active Christian Democrat MEP at the European Parliament. From 1975 - 1979 he served as Belgium's minister for economic affairs. Mr Herman fought consistently for a federal Europe and was president of the Union of European Federalists in Belgium.
