Commission earmarks 2.6 billion EUR over seven years to implement reform of Common Fisheries Policy

Brussels, 05/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - This Wednesday, the European Commission is to adopt a proposal providing for a total budget of 2.6 billion EUR for the period 2007-2013 for the implementation of the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) and for actions anticipated in marine legislation (a new competency to come under the wing of DG Fisheries).
