Commission seeking to strengthen meshing of European research - support for SMEs and regions - EUR 12 billion for essential research

Brussels, 05/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - Following the lengthy inter-service negotiations, the Commission is expected to adopt its proposal on Wednesday for the 7th Framework Research and Development Programme (FRDP) for 2007-13. Commissioner Janez Potocnik will be presenting this programme at 15H to MEPs from the European Parliament's industry committee. The programme should allow some of the time lost by Europe to be regained in the research field and at the same time have a leverage effect...
