ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) defence

The British group, BAE SYSTEMS has put in an offer of USD 3.974 bn to buy out UDI - UNITED DEFENSE (turnover of USD 2.3 bn in 2004), the manufacturer of the famous “Bradley” tank, which corresponds to USD 75 per share. The group will also take over the debt of the company which has risen to USD 218 million.
