04/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - A conference on Réalités européennes du présent (REP) chaired by Hartmut Marhold (to be held at the European Parliament in Brussels on 11 and 12 March) will focus on Valeurs européennes en action: les relations transatlantiques. On Friday, MEP Annemie Neys-Uyttebroeck (ALDE, Belgium) will speak on the European Parliament's role in transatlantic relations, while Catherine Guisan of the University of Minnesota will speak on Démocratie: valeur commune ou pomme de discorde ? Bruno Boissière, Secretary General of the Union of European Federalists (UEF) and REP, will sum up. On Saturday, a round table will be chaired by Jean-Pierre Gouzy, Honorary President of REP, and Harmut Marhold will make the closing speech.
