16/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - Is it true that the Commission President, José Manuel Barroso, who is currently housed in the apartment of his predecessor, Romano Prodi, is seeking a more “prestigious” residence? Françoise Le Bail, Commission spokesperson, was not able on Wednesday to give a satisfactory reply to this question put by a reporter. Mr Barroso does not confide in me about his “real estate” plans, she replied, recalling that the Commission President does not have an official residence in Brussels and so he is free to live where he pleases.
