16/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance to the acquisition of sole control of Irish companies National Europe Holdings Ltd (NEHIL) and Northern Bank Insurance Services Limited (NBIS) owned by the National Australia Bank, by Danske Bank which also has important activities in Norway and Sweden. Danske Bank is expected to invest around EUR 1.4 bn into this venture. NEHIL has sole ownership of the National Irish Bank Ltd (NIB) and the Northern Bank Ltd. (NB)....
