Jean-Marie Cavada president of the public freedoms committee

Brussels, 01/02/2005 (Agence Europe) - Jean-Marie Cavada (UDF, ALDE group) is the new president of the public freedoms committee at justice and home affairs at the European Parliament. Jean-Louis Bourlangues (UDF) resigned from this position for personal reasons. Mr Cavada, the ALDE group candidate received the support of other political groups and was elected on Tuesday to great acclaim.
