The Hague, 25/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The Joint Assembly of the ACP/EU held a debate on Wednesday of the situation in the African Great Lakes region where they gave a cautious welcome to the breakthrough at the Dar-Es-Salam (Tanzania) summit which produced a principled declaration from eleven countries in the region that promised consolidation of the peace process (EUROPE 20 November p 5).
