Commission gives Germany two years to get rid of its aid to cereal eau-de-vie exporters

Brussels, 17/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - Following an investigation, the European Commission concluded on Tuesday that the German system of aid for cereal eau-de-vie contravened Community rules on state aid. However, it decided to give Germany until 30 September 2006 to end its law on the cereal eau-de-vie monopoly ("Kornbranntwein").
