Advocate General Geelhoed says all EU students should be entitled in principle to British student loans

Luxembourg, 12/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - In the Dany Bihar case, Advocate General Geelhoed suggests that following the introduction of EU citizenship, student loans awarded in the UK for British students should be available to students from all other Member States wanting to study in the UK. The British authorities must not establish eligibility conditions beyond what is necessary to avoid 'benefit tourism', he comments in a press release.
