Brussels, 08/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs (YES) is organising its 14 annual summit on 26 November in Brussels at the European Parliament on the theme of the "Rising Economies", focusing on India and China. YES president Tjark De Lange will introduce the event. External trade Commissioner (still in his post) Pascal Lamy will be speaking on "Strengths and Weaknesses". Other participants include India's Permanent Representative to the EU Rajendra M Abhyankar and the minister adviser for trade at the Chinese Permanent Representation to the EU, Liu Youhou.
The rise in power of these new economies is radically changing the economic context in which European companies are finding themselves. The Young Entrepreneurs stress that a greater understanding of ongoing developments would facilitate responses to change and help opportunities to be seized better in the business world (info: http://www.yes.be ).
