Brussels, 08/11/2004 (Agence Europe) - On Monday the European Commission cleared, under the Merger Regulation, a deal whereby private equity firm Cinven Ltd acquires control of Germany's CBR Group, which designs and distributes women's clothing. (The deal was examined under a simplified procedure). CBR was controlled by its two founders, Detlev Meyer (60%) and Friedhelm Behn (40%). CBR, owner of brands, Street One, Cecile, One Touch, employs 700 workers.
