Brussels, 22/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of the EU/Canada ministerial meeting held on 20 and 21 October in Ottawa, the European Union backed the idea put forward by Canadian Prime Minster Paul Martin to hold an international conference on over-fishing in the North Atlantic, a conference that would bring together Canada, China, Taiwan, Japan, Russia, Chile and the European Union.
