The Italian MERLONI ELETTRODOMESTICI, the third largest company of its kind in Europe after the German BOSCH and the Swedish ELECTROLUX, has opened the doors of its second Polish factory in Lodz, in the presence of the Polish Prime Minister Marek Belka and the President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi. The new company, which is set to produce 1 million refrigerators a year at full capacity, will be named INDESIT on 1 January 2005. At this stage, MERLONI is not planning any staff...
