Official launch of new earth observation system in 2005

Brussels, 15/10/2004 (Agence Europe) - Meeting in Brussels at the end of September, the International Earth Observation Group hailed progress in the establishment of a coordination system for all earth observation systems. If negotiations continue at this pace in the next few months, the official launch of a ten year programme to establish the new GEOSS system (Global Earth Observation Strategy System) will be held in February 2005, during the third Earth Observation Summit in Brussels....
